Sherrie and Joanna have been friends for 5 years since discovering a joint love of Softball and beer in London in the summer of 2007...

They have been planning this trip for 6 months and now its finally happening. Taking in over 3000 miles across 9 states, through a planned 20 National Parks and Forests and 1 wedding in 16 days, its going to be quite an adventure.

Sherrie is based in Seattle and is a pretty enthusiastic hiker and climber. Having just passed her rock-climbing exam, is the adventurous one of the pair.

Joanna is based in London and is more of a city dweller, armed with her Canon SLR and collection of lenses - she will provide the pictures to the words over the coming weeks.
